The Vision
The Big 50 approaches! Time for an adventure to a place I love, with people I love, to celebrate a tradition I love!
I've always been a giver of books at Christmas, and Iceland has a holiday tradition tailor made for me: Jolobokoflod (Christmas Book Flood)! Each year Icelandic publishers flood the market right in time for holiday gift-giving. On XMAS Eve everyone exchanges their books and then jumps in bed with their books and some chocolate to get snuggly and warm.
While I'd love to do Jolobokoflod at Christmas, it's just too dang cold so I'm moving the celebration to July 2027 (even though my bday is in April)!
This adventure is designed for maximum flexibility, letting you discover Iceland at your own speed while also offering shared experiences with a group of amazing ladies. Feel free to design your own itinerary without any pressure to participate as a group the whole time.
The only obligatory event will be our group dinner and Jolobokflod book exchange / celebration on July 17th!
